Weddings and Relationship Blessings

It may sound trite, but I believe love is at the heart of all faiths, and of ceremony too. A wedding is one of the clearest expressions of that love. It marks a profound change in your life: making a commitment to another and stepping into a new chapter together.

I welcome people who are secular. Sacred is for everyone.

Legal marriage

I'm a registered marriage celebrant, so I can legally marry you in Australia. Your legal marriage and your ceremony can be one and the same moment.

Relationship blessings

Not every commitment starts with a wedding. A relationship blessing is a ceremony to witness and honour your love: renewing vows, marking a milestone, or declaring a partnership of any kind. I welcome couples of every gender and relationships of every shape.

Creating your ceremony

As an ordained Interfaith Minister, my work is creating sacred ceremony that is deeply rooted in who you are.

The story of you

Preparing a wedding begins with getting to know you. How does love uniquely manifest in your relationship? We start with a "what makes you tick" questionnaire. I ask questions and listen deeply to understand what you love about each other, what you are committing to, and what you hope for the life you are creating together.

Shaping the ceremony

Your vows, readings, music, prayers and rituals are chosen because they mean something to you. Your vows in particular can become an anchor that you return to throughout your marriage, a heartfelt reminder of what you chose and promised in this moment.

Practice

I believe in practice because I want to get it right and represent you to the best of my ability. I will be there for the rehearsal! Having that solid ground also leaves space for the unexpected, and in ceremony the unexpected will always pop in somewhere. My role is to listen, trust and guide the spirit of the ceremony that emerges.

Kind words

From the very beginning he was totally committed to making this event the most wonderful day of our lives. His unerring guidance on the spiritual side; the vows, the poems, the emotional element of the ceremony, coupled with the practical elements; music, seating, flower girl coordination etc… were executed with professional ease and grace that was truly inspiring, and all with joy and lightness.
David Pope & Gary Lee
The Interfaith structure provided us with the perfect model into which we could weave all the elements that we wanted for our ceremony, as well as suggesting other elements that we were able to take and make our own. To be able to write our own script, craft our own vows and choose our own readings and rituals, as best suited us as individuals and as a couple, was an enormous gift. Peter's support and guidance throughout the run up to the wedding was invaluable to us.
